Uruguay Druzy Amethyst Sphere with Agate – 78mm One-of-a-Kind Crystal Ball

One-of-a-Kind Uruguay Druzy Amethyst Sphere

A striking natural druzy amethyst sphere from Uruguay, combining a deep sparkling amethyst cavity with beautifully layered agate and chalcedony formations.

Measuring approximately 78mm in diameter, this polished sphere changes completely as you turn it.

One side opens into a rich violet amethyst geode cavity filled with natural quartz points, while the opposite sides reveal an intricate mix of translucent white quartz, grey-green agate, soft pink tones and earthy mineral patterning.

The contrast between the highly polished exterior and exposed crystal cavity gives this specimen exceptional depth and character.

You will receive the exact sphere shown in the photographs and video.

What Makes This Sphere Special

This is not a conventional solid amethyst sphere.

Its appeal comes from the variety of natural mineral formations visible throughout the stone.

Depending on the viewing angle, you can see:

  • a deep violet amethyst crystal cavity
  • sparkling natural druzy
  • translucent quartz
  • grey-green agate banding
  • soft pink and reddish mineral zones
  • fine chalcedony layers
  • natural cavities and crystal openings
  • strong colour zoning
  • a highly polished outer surface

From one angle, the sphere appears predominantly purple and crystalline.

Turn it slightly and it transforms into an intricate landscape of green, white, pink and earthy mineral bands.

That contrast makes this particular sphere especially interesting for collectors.

Natural Druzy Cavity

The sphere has been polished around part of its original crystal-bearing cavity rather than removing the natural formation completely.

This allows the specimen to retain exposed amethyst and quartz crystals within the smooth spherical form.

The result is a beautiful combination of:

polished mineral art + natural geode formation.

Uruguay Amethyst

Uruguay is particularly well known among mineral collectors for richly coloured amethyst formed within volcanic geodes.

These geodes can also contain layers of agate and chalcedony surrounding the crystal-bearing cavities.

In this specimen, those contrasting mineral zones remain clearly visible throughout the polished sphere, creating a completely different appearance from each angle.

A True One-of-a-Kind Specimen

Natural mineral specimens are never perfectly uniform.

Small cavities, inclusions, natural fractures, colour zoning, crystal contact points and variations in the polished surface are part of the stone’s natural formation and are not considered faults.

Please review all photographs and the video carefully before purchasing.

Care

Display securely on a suitable sphere stand.

Because the sphere contains an open natural crystal cavity, avoid placing pressure directly on exposed crystal points.

Dust the druzy area gently with a clean, soft brush. The polished exterior can be wiped with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth.

Avoid impacts, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals.
