What makes this amethyst special

Across the polished surface, individual stalactite cross-sections create concentric, flower-like and eye-shaped patterns. Rich burgundy and plum banding sits alongside lavender, grey and cream mineral tones, while sparkling druzy and dark crystal-lined cavities add texture, depth and contrast.

From across the room, it reads as a striking piece of natural art. Up close, every formation reveals its own pattern of growth, crystal texture and colour, making this a rewarding addition to a serious mineral collection or display shelf.

About amethyst stalactite formations

Stalactitic mineral formations develop as successive layers of minerals grow around an original core. When exposed in cross-section, their internal growth can appear circular, oval or flower-like. In this specimen, the formations are surrounded by later quartz and amethyst crystal growth, combining polished patterned areas with natural sparkling druzy.

Polished and natural

The front surface has been polished to reveal the internal stalactite patterns, while natural cavities and druzy formations have been preserved. Nothing about the flower-like shapes has been artificially carved.

Natural cavities, inclusions, fractures, exposed matrix, contact points, uneven crystal growth and colour variation are normal characteristics of geological formation. Please review all photographs, measurements and the video before purchasing.

Care and display

  • Support the solid base and stand when moving the specimen.
  • Dust gently with a clean, soft brush.
  • Avoid impacts, abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight.

There is only one available, and the exact specimen photographed is the piece you will receive.
